Hi there!

I think that we have all heard of Paris. Not Paris, the city of love, but Paris, the city of Charlie Hebdo. When I heard what had happened, I was shocked. I had never imagined a form - any form - of terrorism happening so close to home.

But it came even closer.

Bodyshop Haul

It's been a while since I have written a beauty blogpost, so today I am going to write about the Bodyshop.

Me and my friends are all Bodyshop-LOVERS - except for the boys haha - and every birthday I get a few new Bodyshop products from them. Also, if I've got some money 'left' - aka I've been in every shop in town and I cannot find a single thing I would want to spend my money on - I tend to just pop into one of their shops and go a little crazy - #guiltyaf - Thanks to this, my collection of Bodyshop products is growing steadily, and I thought I'd show you some of my faves :)

Rainy Day in Amsterdam...

Hi there!

The weather in Amsterdam in the winter is awful. Always. Except for maybe the very rare hours that it doesn't rain, it is absolutely deterrent. Therefore it is not very surprising that I miss summer a hell of a lot and that I'm craving hot chocolate and coffee. Especially coffee.

Anyway. Yesterday, I was meant to meet up with Laura in the Bagels&Beans, but she was ill and overslept, so we went for coffee today instead. In the B&B, naturally.

Notebook Addiction

Hi there!

It's Saturday today, I've survived the first week back to school - barely - and that means... blogging :) Now I am not going to talk about school here today, but about my holiday.

That's because I think I have developed a little (read: huge)

notebook addiction over the holidays. It's just that notebooks are so handy, they're small, so you can carry them everywhere you go. Slight problem there, because I now have too many to take them all with me...

DAY ZERO PROJECT (and of course a happy 2015)

First of all, hi.

Second of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning and thought, JEEEZ, 2015 already?! It doesn't feel like a year ago that I woke up on the first of January 2014,
feeling very sick and initially running to the bathroom but end up
falling off the stairs - I know, sounds like a fantastic start of the year... - Then I got all sentimental and cried to myself for a bit because, well, I don't know, it's just, 2014 is definately over now etc etc. - don't worry, I have this every year, I'll get over it ;) -

I feel like it's been ages since I last uploaded, but guys,

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! - it's Chistmas Eve, to be exact -

I have been singing Christmas songs non-stop for the last couple of days - read: weeks- and I probably won't stop until the 31st of January :)

Now what I like to do when it's nearly Christmas, is cuddle up on the couch with some hot chocolate and Christmas treats watching Christmas movies. So, to get me in the mood, I made these little pastries with almond and fig.

DIY: Housekeys

Hello!

Since I am the worst at remembering which one of my housekeys is for which door - they all look so much alike! - and my key covers always fall apart in no time, I couldn't help but give a little squeak when I recently saw an Instagram post from HEMA where they had covered their keys in, believe it or not, nail polish. I needed to try that out.

So, two days later, I was happy to throw all of the key covers, sticky from the duct tape, in the bin for good, and start over.

Turns out, it was not at all as simple as I thought it would be, but after a good hour messing around with nail polish and Scotch tape, I was finally done.

This is what you will need: paper, Scotch tape and as many colours of nail polish as you want to use

Things Are Changing...

Hi there!

As you may have noticed, I have been adding some bits and clips to this blog. The reason is that I am super duper new to this, and I don't really know what I want this blog to look like.

Some examples of things that I have been thinking of changing:

The background; I like this dotty one, nothing wrong with it, but I feel like it doesn't really go with the things that I write on here. I don't quite know where that feeling comes from, but I do know that it is not going away. 

The font; again, I like this one, but I don't know if it really is  what I had imagined for da blogg...

The language; don't panic, I'm not going to change the language completely, but I was thinking about maybe writing some posts in Dutch, just because I don't always feel like challenging my brain to write in English.

Lastly, the name!

I had a dream last night about a normal day at school, and suddenly some girl I didn't know asked me about my blog. Thing is, in this dream the girl mentioned my blog in the name Love, Rosaly... (imagine: loverosaly.blogspot.com) I woke up with the feeling that that might be either a very good or a very bad idea.

What do you think? Should I change the name? Any suggestions?

Just so you know, in the next couple of weeks, I'll be changing some things here and there, don't know exactly what, but yeah...

So I guess you'll just have to bare with me and we'll see where it goes.

Outfit: Primary Colours + much needed chai lattes

Hi everyone,

Sorry this post has come so late, I had actually planned it for Wednesday, but I have just been SO busy with school and I just didn't have the time.

It's already a week ago, and the weather has softened a bit, but on the last day of November, me and my friend Jieling had planned to go to the 17th century canals of Amsterdam to shoot some photos for this outfit post.

Bad idea.

It was freezing, and after ten minutes, our hands already were so cold that we were having trouble pressing the button on our cameras.

I unfortunately didn't include any gloves in my outfit, even though my mum insisted on it, silly me. So much regrets.

Half an hour later we concluded it wasn't going to get any better than that, so we hasted to a nearby Coffee Company and sat there for a good hour, chatting over our chai tea lattes.
