A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS PART 4 | BLOGMAS DAY 20

Hi there!

Only four days left to Christmas and I can't contain my excitement any longer, like, I'm honestly about to explode...

As I really do want to round up A Merry Little Christmas for you, so... Here is the fourth and first to last part of A Merry Little Christmas. I'm sorry it's not too long, but I'm really really tired right now, and I want the last one to be a bit longer, so...

Chapter 4

Around four minutes and twenty seconds later - Cara counted - my phone buzzes. It's a text, but not from Grayson. It's my mum, again.

EMMA, CALL ME AS SOON AS YOU SEE THIS. I NEED TO KNOW YOU'RE ALLRIGHT. LONDON IS DANGEROUS. MUM

'Sorry guys,' I say, and lay the phone back on the sofa. 'You know what she's like.'
'Shouldn't you call her?' Sarah asks.
'No. I'll just pretend I didn't get the message until I do call her.'
'Rebel.'
I snicker, but before I can answer that I am not at all a rebel and I'm just good at making up things and make them seem legit, my phone buzzes again. This time it is Grayson.

HI EMMA! LONG TIME NO SEE ;-) WELCOME BACK! OF COURSE I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU, HOW ABOUT LUNCH TOMORROW AT MAISIE'S? X GRAYSON

Emilia and Julie squeal, Sarah gasps and Cara starts laughing. I don't really know what to think.
'Oh. My. God. Emma!' Emilia breaths. 'He's totally asking you out.'
'Maybe, but I asked him first. So that doesn't count.' I object.
'Why? He's asked you out!'
'Because! It's not really his idea now is it? And we're only going for lunch, not to the movies or anything.'
'Yeah, and he's only taking you to Maisie's, one of the hottest places in town!'
I laugh. She's right. Maisie's is quite a big deal.
'Okay okay, you win, but ladies, if you want to get me ready, you have to get started, we don't have all week!'
'Oh my god, yes of course! Emilia, grab that notebook you have on your desk, and take a pen please. We need to brainstorm.' Julie starts walking around the room fairly quickly.
'Shouldn't Emma text back first?' Cara asks, in her delicate voice.
'Oh, yes, almost forgot!' Julie walks over to me. I grab my phone out of my pocket and I am about to text him back when Julie says: 'Give that to me. I'll do it.'
I hand the phone to her without making tantrum, it won't work, and she starts typing a message to my crush of three years. When she hands it back to me, it says:

HI GRAYSON, SOUNDS LOVELY! WHAT TIME CAN YOU BE HERE? (I'M STAYING AT JULIE'S) XX EMMA

'Is it good?' She asks me.
'Yes, I guess so.' I honestly don't know wether to answer yes or no. 'You probably know me better than I do, so I'll ask you. Is this something I would write?'
'Definitely.' Julie sounds confident.
'Two kisses?'
'Definitely.'
'You don't mind him picking me up at your place?'
'Defintely not.'
'Okay then.' I press SEND.

Emilia, Sarah and Julie seem to know exactly what I need to look my best tomorrow. Emilia comes in with a pile of creams and body lotions and facemasks and moisturizers, Julie starts firing away about my clothing options and Sarah offers to do my hair. I undergo all of this chatter and touching willingly, until Emilia offers to squeeze the three pimples that I have near my hairline.
'Whoa Emilia, no thank you.' I withstand. 'I prefer having three red spots for a week over having three pits in my forehead for the rest of my life.' She waives on this one horrible mission and continues giving me a mini-manicure.

The mini-manicure turns out not to be so mini. Three hours later, it's now 9pm, my friends are finally finished fiddling with my hair and massaging my hands. Grayson has texted me back saying he'll be waiting outside at 2pm the next day. We have consumed over three pots of green tea and finished off nearly 40 sugarcookies. We decide it's time to go home, and we arrange to meet at Julie's place early the next morning. In the hallway, we meet Emilia's dad, who looks more tired than I remember him. Emilia waves the four of us goodbye as we walk across the street and part in different directions, each of us on our way to a long, and hopefully good, night of sleep.

Well, now that Emma is out for a good night sleep, I hope you are too. I am 100 percent going to fall asleep as soon as I've put my laptop down.

Again, I'm really sorry that this part wasn't as long as the other ones, but I really wanted to take some more time for the ending, and maybe be a little less tired than I am right now. Focus isn't perfect right now, to be honest.

Anyways, I hope you guys still enjoyed it, I'm going to be uploading the last part on Christmas Day, should you want to know how this ends - I think most of us can guess how it ends though ;) I am going to fall asleep now, byeeeee.

See you tomorrow? Oooh, I actually have something exciting for y'all tomorrow, it's probably one of my favourite blogposts of blogmas, and possibly ever, so keep yo eyes peeled for that one!

Love,
Rosaly
